KNX OPC UA Gateway

KNX / OPC UA gateway
for SCADA

ZVENO transfers KNX data to SCADA over OPC UA and supports multiple KNX/IP connections. Commands from SCADA to KNX are enabled separately for each tag.

Delivery and installation

ZVENO is a KNX hardware gateway with an OPC UA server for SCADA.

Installation of ZVENO on a suitable customer-owned Linux computer is discussed separately. A KNX/IP interface or router is required to connect to KNX. We configure the gateway on site or remotely, with equipment prepared and access agreed in advance. We work across Russia.

Gateway configuration

From KNX points to OPC UA tags

Settings are saved and checked first, then applied to the gateway.

Add points

Upload an ETS5/ETS6 file in a supported format or create tags manually. Specify group addresses, DPTs and point functions.

Connect KNX/IP

Create connections to KNX/IP interfaces or routers, assign a source to each tag and select points to publish in OPC UA. Command writes are enabled separately.

Check data

Use the web interface to check connection status, values, data quality and timestamps. Copy the NodeIds of published tags to map them in SCADA.

The gateway interface is currently in Russian. The screenshots show the authentic ZVENO interface.

Projects and ETS

Select points from ETS

Upload an ETS file, browse group addresses and add the required points to the gateway settings. You can also create a project manually.

Check published data

The viewer reads the gateway's OPC UA server and shows values, data quality and timestamps.

KNX / OPC UA implementation

We connect KNX
to SCADA

We configure the ZVENO hardware gateway, prepare KNX points and check data exchange with SCADA over OPC UA. Installation on a customer-owned computer, ETS work, SCADA configuration and support are agreed separately.

We can configure a Linux computer over SSH. Prepare the equipment and network access in advance; access to ETS and SCADA is discussed separately. Mounting and physical connections are performed on site. Site visits are agreed according to project conditions.

KNX / OPC UA gateway installation requirements

Scope of work and remote implementation requirements

01

Review the project inputsWe check KNX/IP devices, the network layout, the point list and OPC UA client requirements.

02

Configure the gatewayWe upload an ETS file or add points manually, create KNX/IP connections and configure publication.

03

Verify data exchangeWe check OPC UA value reading on site. We hand over the settings and show how to change them.

Discuss your project

Discuss a KNX / OPC UA gateway for your project

You can estimate the cost of the licence, equipment and selected services by the number of tags. The scope of supply and terms are set out in the contract.

Enter the number of KNX devices and points for SCADA. If you do not have exact figures, leave these fields blank.

The design load for one gateway is 10,000+ tags. We determine the operating capacity based on tag update frequency, the number of OPC UA clients and the computer specifications.

Loading the form… If it remains unavailable, email info@zvenoknx.ru.

Your name, contact details and consent are required.

Optional. Enter the country where the gateway will be used.

Values and commands to publish as OPC UA tags. An estimate or “not sure” is fine.

Your draft is not saved. We will ask for confirmation before you leave a form containing entered details.
